Behind these rocks is an empty stretch of water, with the foot of mountains in the background visible and rising upwards. The space of the entire composition gradually extends into the distance while also highlighting the lofty vigor of the main mountain rocks in the foreground. A residence is hidden and protected by two rocky outcroppings, imbuing a sense of safe habitation. The clump of bamboo growing in the left side is also delicate and slender, similar in shape to the main mountainous rocks, thus harmonizing hard and soft to give the painting a feeling of perfect balance.(20100409)
