He was a skilled painter of landscapes, figures, birds, flowers and fruits. While young Li Shih-cho accompanied his father on official travel through the south of China, There he met the painter Wang Hui and benefitted from their discussions. This painting depicts a rock and bamboo. The new shoots of bamboo have an upright and elegant air. This painting was presented to the museum by Huang Chun-pi.
