收藏著錄@#@李石曾先生遺贈書畫目錄,頁20-21、90-96@#@@#@內容簡介(中文)@#@胡玉昆(活動於十七世紀後半葉)字元潤,江寧(南京)人,父宗智,伯父宗仁皆工詩善畫。胡玉昆畫承家學,筆墨疏略,當代鑑賞家李日華評其畫云:「字作畫惟空境最難,以余所見,善於用空者,其為胡三褐公歟!」此圖淡設色畫林巒矗雲,樓閣峙於峰間,寫廬山蓮花峰與雙劍峰景致。至友周亮工(一六一二-一六七二)形容其畫風云:「用筆設色,好作縹緲虛無態,故咫尺間覺千萬里為遙。」幅上有丙戌年款,當為清順治三年(一六四六)。此圖為李石曾先生遺贈。@#@@#@內容簡介(英文)@#@Lotus Peak
Hu Yu-k’un (fl. latter half of the 17th century)

Towers and roofs of storied buildings are visible among a forested range of mountains wrapped in clouds and mists. Delicately colored, this painting, dated 1646, depicts Lotus Peak and Double Sword Peak on Mount Lu.
Chou Liang-kung (1612-1672), a friend of the artist, said of Hu’s painting style
that “In his brushwork and sense of coloring, he liked to create s sense of hazy indistinctness and voidness. Thus one square inch of his paintings conveys a feeling of a distance of a thousand li.” Hu’s contemporary, the connoisseur Li Jih-hua, said that “The empty spaces are the most difficult part of a painting. In my opinion, Hu excelled at the use of emptiness.” Hu’s brushwork is particularly loose and free.
Hu Yu-k’un (whose style-name was Yuan-jun) was a native of Chiang-ning (modern Nanking). Both his father, Tsung-chih, and his uncle Tsung-jen were able poets and painters, and Hu continued the family’s artistic heritage.
Lotus Peak was given to the museum by Mr. Li Shih-tseng.
