收藏著錄@#@大風堂遺贈名跡特展圖錄,頁13-14、81-82@#@@#@內容簡介(中文)@#@董源(活動於西元十世紀上半葉),字叔達,江南鍾陵人。事南唐為北苑副使。善畫山水,兼工畫牛、虎、龍、水。山水多寫江南真山,不為奇崎之筆。米芾稱述董源畫法,謂為峰巒出沒,雲霧顯晦,不裝巧趣,皆得天真。
本幅舊題為董源,畫夏日溪山縈帶,林屋映蔽,白雲浮現於山腰,江面潦闊,岸邊眾桅高聳。畫山峰以長披麻皴為主,表現鬆軟土質山巒,林木均是重墨漬染,苔點亦繁盛,意在表現夏日草木蓊鬱,萬物蓬勃生長。
本卷係張大千先生遺贈。@#@@#@內容簡介(英文)@#@Tung Yuan (style name Shu-ta) was a native of Chung-ling in Kiangnan and served as an administrator in the royal parks of the Southern T'ang. He excelled in painting landscapes, oxen, tigers, dragons, and water. His landscape paintings reflect not an eccentric imagination but the actual scenery of the Kiangnan region. Mi Fu praised Tung Yuan's brush techniques saying that his ridges and peaks seem to appear and disappear, his mists and clouds reveal and conceal, and these unmannered effects convincingly create an atmosphere of great naturalness.
Formerly attributed to Tung Yuan, this painting is a depiction of a stream winding its way between hills and groves and clouds lingering thickly along lower mountain slopes on a summer day. Flood waters have swelled the open river to a vast expanse; along both banks nestle clusters of boats. Hill and mountain forms are softly shaped and built up through the use of long hemp-fiber strokes, Summer's dense, abundant luxuriance is portrayed through varying ink tones and prolific dotting.
This painting was a gift from the collection of Mr. Chang Dai-chien.
