本幅為吉星福張振芳伉儷捐贈文物,王鐸以綾本臨郗愔、謝莊、王徽之、王操之、王獻之等晉人法帖,雖自謂病後疏闊,但通篇運筆變化豐富,墨色濃黑飽滿,肆意酣暢。
(20121017)@#@@#@內容簡介(英文)@#@ Wang Duo (style name Juesi, posthumous title Wen’an) was a native of Mengjin, Henan. A Presented Scholar of 1622, he entered Qing officialdom and became Grand Academician. Widely learned and fond of antiquity, he was good at poetry, excelling at painting and calligraphy, in the latter following the Two Wangs’ semi-cursive and Zhong You’s regular script. Expressing his feelings, he became renowned, his calligraphy equaling Dong Qichang’s. This work, donated by Mr. and Mrs. Chi Hsing-fu and Chang Chen-fang, is a transcription on silk of engraved calligraphy by Chi Yin, Xie Zhuang, Wang Huizhi, Wang Caozhi, and Wang Xianzhi. Despite a break due to illness, the brushwork is rich and varied with full moist ink tones of ease and freedom.
