內容簡介(中文)@#@吳榮光(一七七三~一八四三),原名燎光,別號荷屋,廣東南海人,嘉慶四年進士,中試之後改定今名。歷任翰林院編修、監察御史、湖南巡撫等官職,而於道光年間罷官歸里,潛心著述,所作《筠清館金石文字》,可以知其好尚。吳氏從學阮元、翁方綱,與後者情誼在師友之間,此幅書聯:「詢道求中志在守璞,資忠履信思若有神」,筆法與翁方綱取徑相同,均見歐楷根柢。(20120409)@#@@#@內容簡介(英文)@#@ Wu Rongguang (original name Liaoguang, sobriquet Hewu), a native of Nanhai in Guangdong, became a Presented Scholar in 1799, taking the name Rongguang (meaning “Glory”). As an official, he served in such posts as Compiler in the Hanlin Academy, Investigating Censor, and Governor of Hunan. Relieved of office in the Daoguang era, he returned home, devoting himself to writing and his Bronze and Stele Characters of the Yunqing Hall demonstrating his achievements. Wu studied under Ruan Yuan and Weng Fanggang, having a close relationship with the latter. The brushwork in this couplet on seeking the Way is identical to Weng Fanggang’s study of the Classics, clearly showing their roots in the regular script of Ouyang Xun.(20120409)
