舊傳為李公麟所作,但與其風格略有出入。李公麟(西元一0四九─一一0六年),舒州(安徽舒城)人。字伯時,號龍眠居士。熙寧(一0六八─一0七七)中進士,為中書門下省刪定官,元符三年(一一00)病痺致仕,歸老龍眠山。善山水、人物,兼工畫馬。
@#@@#@內容簡介(英文)@#@ This handscroll contains illustrations to the eighteen chapters of the Classic of Filial Piety. Each section of painting and calligraphy is exceptionally fine. The delicate lines of the standard script of the calligraphy complement those of the pai-miao outline style of the paintings, creating a regular effect.
Traditionally, this scroll has been attributed to Li Kung-lin, but the style appears somewhat removed from that associated with his hand. Li Kung-lin (style name Po-shih and sobriquet Lung-mien chu-shih) was a native of Shu-chou (modern Shu-ch’eng, Anhwei province). During the Hsi-ning era (1068-1077), he received his chin-shih civil service degree and went on to serve as Reviser in the Secretariat-Chancellery. In 1100, he fell ill while in office and retired to his retreat at Lung-mien Mountain. He excelled at painting landscapes, figures, and horses.
