本冊共十二幅,分別仿自宋元名家,此次選展三幅,籤題各為「董北苑夏木垂陰」、「李營丘雪圖」、「許道寧喬林暮靄」,畫法俱不相同,可據以體會三家之風格特質。
(20121016)@#@@#@內容簡介(英文)@#@ Wang Hui (style name Shigu, sobriquet Gengyan sanren), a native of Changshu in Jiangsu, studied landscape painting under Wang Jian and then Wang Shimin, being exceptionally gifted at connoisseurship and copying ancient paintings. He is recognized as the most skilled painter of the Qing, being known with Wang Shimin, Wang Jian, and Wang Yuanqi as one of the “Four Wangs.” This album of 12 leaves imitates styles of various ancient masters. Three have been selected here: “‘Shady Trees in a Summer Landscape’ by Dong Beiyuan (Yuan),” “‘Snowy Landscape’ by Li Yingqiu (Cheng),” and “‘Tall Trees in Evening Mist’ by Xu Daoning.” The painting methods all differ, indicating that he followed the stylistic features of these three artists.
