本幅為指畫,江邊平坡,老者持杖仰望,對岸鴻雁,成一陣飛翔。設色清雅,筆亦醇厚,非一般指畫之野氣可比。
@#@@#@內容簡介(英文)@#@Tai T’ien-jui, tzu (style name) Si-t’ang, hao (sobriquet) Pen-yuan, a native of Chang-chou (modern Su-chou) in the Kiangsu province, was very skilled in landscape painting in both the meticulous and the impressionistic styles. He was also able to catch the spirit of the aquatic plants and fishes in his paintings.
This leaf was painted with fingers instead of a brush. An old man leaning against a staff is gazing toward the sky on a flat river bank, while, high above flying geese traverse the air in formation. In this picture the colors are simple and elegant and the stroke lines are dense and thick. The picture has achieved an elegant quality far above the common finger-paintings of the days.
