近岸偃蹇作三松,一翁柱杖立其下,重汀灘水,一望無盡,遠山間以雲氣,故曠遠之勢不減。@#@@#@內容簡介(英文)@#@Hsiang Sheng-mo, tzu K’ung-chang, hao I-an and Hsu-chiao, was a grandson of the noted collector Hsiang Yuan-pien. Hsiang Sheng-mo first learned to paint landscapes in the manner of Wen Cheng-ming (1470-1559), but later studied the works of the Sung and Yuan dynasty masters. He also excelled at painting flowers, bamboo, trees, and rocks.
In the foreground of this painting an old scholar stands with his staff under three tall pines. In the middle distance a stretch of sandy banks spreads on both sides of a spring. In the far distance clouds envelop the high mountains, accentuating the feeling of an expansive distance.
