收藏著錄@#@石渠寶笈初編(重華宮),下冊,頁736@#@@#@收藏著錄@#@故宮書畫錄(卷六),第四冊,頁258@#@@#@收藏著錄@#@故宮書畫圖錄,第二十八冊,頁340-347@#@@#@參考書目@#@1.邱士華,〈虎距鷹揚 — 元歸真〈畫虎〉小探〉,,《故宮文物月刊》,第323期(2010年2月),頁46-51。@#@@#@內容簡介(中文)@#@本幅的籤題是「元歸真畫虎」,歸真生平不詳,惟五代時期有專門以畫牛虎及猛鳥著名的畫家「厲歸真」。本幅的左邊有「歸真」款,看來有被塗改的痕跡。岩石上又有寫有「李□□」,那本幅究竟是出於「歸真」或者「李」姓的畫家,目前尚須進一步研究。畫中原野無人,高松鬱鬱,綠竹迎風飄搖,溪畔潺潺的流水,一隻山老虎正伏下身來吸飲流水,圓睜睜的雙眼,炯炯有神;松樹幹上又有一隻老鷹,凝視著老虎,是戒慎恐懼的提防老鷹的侵害,還是氣概凜然地與老鷹相互稱雄於大原野。中國習俗將「鷹、虎」並畫,就是「虎踞鷹揚」。「虎踞」是形容地勢雄壯險要,「鷹揚」是指威武而大展雄才。這是以隱喻的方式表達立於優勝的地位且能發揮出偉大的力量。古代畫家並不如今天容易地看到老虎,這幅畫對老虎的形態,描繪得相當老練,是中國畫史畫老虎的佳作。畫風的上限,或許早於元代,而可以是南宋人的作品。(王耀庭)@#@@#@內容簡介(中文)@#@深山中,喬松、雜樹、竹石錯置其間,溪泉潺潺而來,一虎飲泉溪畔,雄威逼人。一鷹棲息松幹,眼神耽耽,頗有林風隨之而起的氣概。
畫幅右側有「歸真」款,似是後人添加的。按厲歸真(活動於西元十世紀)是一名道士,擅長畫虎,傳說曾搭棚架於山林大樹上以觀察老虎的生態,又喜模擬老虎的動作。

@#@@#@內容簡介(英文)@#@Deep in the mountains by a large pine and various trees, bamboo, and rocks is a gurgling brook, from which a tiger drinks in a pose of alertness. A hawk is perched in a branch of the pine in the upper right and looks down at the tiger, ready to take off at a moment's notice.
To the side of the work is a signature that reads "Kuei-chen," but it appears to have been added by a later hand. Li Kuei-chen was a Taoist who specialized in painting tigers and is said to have set up a tree platform in the mountains to observe the activities of tigers--even imitating their movements to understand this majestic animal.
