本幅描繪溪澗川流於山谷中,山屋錯落山腳濱水處,加以江面漁人乘舟垂釣,呈現山間靜謐安逸的生活情趣。用筆簡約,用均勻的線條勾勒山體樹石輪廓後稍作皴擦,再淡染赭石與花青,使整幅畫面更顯清新淡雅。畫中土石平臺、苔點及漁人等都是黃公望畫常見母題。
(20110609)@#@@#@內容簡介(英文)@#@Wang Hui (style name Shigu; sobriquets Gengyan sanren, Wumu shanren, Qinghui laoren) was a native of Changshu. In his early years he studied under the painter Zhang Ke from his hometown, and later he came under the personal instruction of the famous literati Wang Jian and Wang Shimin. Wang Hui’s extensive viewing of ancient works greatly enhanced his art of painting.
This work depicts a river flowing through a valley with mountain homes scattered around foothills by the water’s edge. The fisherman in a boat on the river reveals the delight of mountain life in peace and leisure. The brushwork is succinct, using even lines to delineate the mountains, rocks, and trees, after which some texturing was added with light washes of ochre and cyanine blue, giving the entire painting an even fresher and lightly elegant quality. The rocks, flat outcroppings, moss dots, and fisherman here are all motifs often seen in Huang Gongwang’s works.
