這幅畫,雖然不知道作者的姓名,但是用筆相當沉穩有力,推測很可能是出自文徵明學生輩的佳作。@#@@#@內容簡介(英文)@#@The Seven Star Junipers refer to the 7 junipers personally planted by Crown Prince Chao-ming of the Liang in the early 6th century. Located in Chiang-shu, Kiangsu province, they became a famous site. Artists in the Ming dynasty who lived in the area, such as Shen Chou (1427-1509) and Wen Cheng-ming (1470-1559), often portrayed these ancient junipers, and their works still survive as testimony.
This painting, although anonymous, appears to be an exceptional work from the school of Wen Cheng-ming on the basis of the powerful yet steady brushwork. It shows a seated scholar with attendants in the middle of the cluster of 7 junipers. Above are masses of juniper branches against the backdrop of a tall and expansive slope.
