本幅原或為三冊頁,後裱成一幅。首幅畫坡岸汀渚,遠山煙嵐以潑墨法表現之;二幅近景高山聳立,兩山間隱見遠處房舍竹林,為深遠式構景;三幅為一角式構圖,主題古廟坡石偏居右下角,隔江沙洲綿延,一片江天遼闊之景。@#@@#@內容簡介(英文)@#@Hsiang Sheng-mo, a native of Chekiang, initially studied landscape painting under Wen Cheng-ming. He later expanded his repertoire to include the styles from the Sung and Yuan, developing a distinctive style and a fine sense of coloring.
This hanging scroll consists of 3 leaves that perhaps originally formed part of an album that was later mounted together. In the upper leaf, distant mist-covered mountains dashed in ink frame a shoal-filled riverbank. The central leaf depicts high mountains in a foreground scene; a distant village and bamboo grove are visible between the mountains to suggest deep distance. In the bottom leaf, a rocky slope and temple fill one corner as meandering shoals criss-cross an expanse of water.
