Two geese are beside a bank, and a swallow flies about the branches of awillow tree. Under the willow tree, there are several apricot branches. The subject matter and the composition suggest that this is a large bird-and-flower painting produced at the Ming imperial court. The texture strokes of the trunk of the willow tree are in Lu Chi's style, and the geese are painted in the manner of Lin Liang. The artist must therefore be a follower of Lin Liang and Lu Chi.
