@#@@#@內容簡介(英文)@#@The three melons growing on the ground here are adorned with leaves, vines, and blossoms. The surfaces of the melons were done in washes of green pigment and the veins rendered with ochre, creating for a marvelous description that reveals the observation of the artist. Such details as the leaf veins and tendrils have been finely delineated, and the brushwork is lush yet strong and refined. No signature or seal of the artist appears, but Insects and Melons by Ch'ien Hsuan in the Museum collection are similar in composition. The refined brushwork of this scroll is similar to that of the former. If this is not by a Sung painter, then it probably belongs to a follower of Ch'ien Hsuan.
