本幅無作者名款,依據舊籤,定為宋人所作,然此圖結構鬆散,似為後人所為。
@#@@#@內容簡介(英文)@#@In this landscape, peaks rise in the background as rolling hills appear along the banks of a river. Figures in skiffs appear in the river. The woods on the banks are dense and buildings beyond or onto them. The artist used a bird's-eye perspective as we look down into the deep distance. The entire scene spreads out. While most artists used either paper or silk, this work is done on cloth, which is very rare. Since the texture is somewhat coarse, the brush and ink here appear uneven and heavy in places.
Although this work bears no signature or seal of the artist, it was attributed to an artist of the Sung dynasty. However, the loose structure makes it appear as if it were done by a later hand.
