(20121017)@#@@#@內容簡介(英文)@#@ Zhao Mengfu (style name Zi’ang, sobriquet Songxue daoren) was a member of the Song imperial family and a native of Huzhou (modern Wuxing, Zhejiang). After the fall of the Song, he served the Yuan as Hanlin Academician Recipient of Edicts, posthumously titled Wenmin. His poetry and prose was pure and untrammeled, his paintings ranked as spirited, and his calligraphy second to none at the time. This work in semi-standard script is a transcription of Ouyang Xiu’s ode on detesting flies, which symbolize people who slander others and cause chaos in the country. Though dated 1295, the brushwork is slightly weak and bears evidence of Wen Zhengming’s (1470-1559) style, making it probably a Ming work with Zhao’s name added.
