(20121017)@#@@#@內容簡介(英文)@#@ Zhou Chi (style name Jingyuan, self-styled sobriquet Rushi weng) was a native of Liaocheng in Shandong. He was an Editor at the Palace Library in 1283 and served in such posts as Investigating Censor and Censor. Already renowned in his youth for writing, he was especially gifted at calligraphy. This letter in semi-standard script was written to Lu Hou (1258-1307), serving as Surveillance Commissioner of Guangdong, to thank him for a present of fine ink and paper. Zhou also included two papers he had recently composed for his superiors. Histories state that Zhou Chi followed the Two Wangs (Xizhi and Xianzhi) for a graceful and full style. The brushwork here is modest and elegant, reflecting the revivalist movement advocated by Zhao Mengfu at the time.
