Three stones were found in the Northern Song and named after the deities in the sacrifices. The original stones do not survive, but engraved rubbings are in the “Jiang” and “Ru” modelbook collections. This is “Wuxian Text” from the Jiang Modelbooks. This text was discovered at Fengxiang during the Jiayou era (1056-1063). The contents had already been recopied and pieced together. A rare record from prior to the Northern Song, critics over the ages claimed it as a later fake. However, judging from the calligraphy style and character structure, it is similar to another ancient text, the Stone Drum scripts, revealing the transition from bronze script to small seal script.(20100711)
