- 參考資料內容簡介（中文）@#@ 朱耷（西元一六二六—一七○五年後），江西南昌人。字人屋，明宗室，明亡後落髮僧，法名傳綮，號雪個、八大山人等。詩書畫均頗為擅長。作畫不拘成法，筆意灑脫縱放。草書的簽名，乍看很像是「哭之」或「笑之」，頗有國破家亡，哭笑不得的深意。 本幅係蘭千山館寄存的作品，以水墨大寫意畫荷花、奇石，筆墨蒼勁率意，淋漓酣暢，極具雄健豪邁之勢。 @#@@#@內容簡介（英文）@#@Zhu Da, a native of Nanchang in Jiangxi, had the style name Renwu. A descendant of the Ming imperial clan, after the Ming fall he took the Buddhist tonsure, assumed the Buddhist name Chuanqi and adopted such sobriquets as Xuege and Bada shanren. Excelling in poetry, calligraphy, and painting, in the latter he did not stick to established rules, his brushwork being free and untrammeled. His signature in cursive script looks like the characters for “crying” or “laughing,” suggesting the sarcastic and bitter response of someone disposed of his dynastic heritage. This work, entrusted to the National Palace Museum from the Lanqian shanguan collection, is done in broad strokes of monochrome ink to depict tall blossoming lotuses along with a decorative rock. The mature and direct brushwork along with the wet and fluid ink possess a robust and imposing manner.
