內容簡介(中文)@#@桂馥(一七三六~一八O五),字冬卉,號未谷、瀆井復民、肅然山外史,山東曲阜人。乾隆五十五年進士,官至雲南永平、順寧縣知事,於任期內病逝。桂氏精研文字學,以經義與《說文》相疏證,完成《說文解字義證》五十卷,學界推為力作。「一枝沈醉羊毫筆,寫遍人間兩漢碑」,為桂氏肺腑之言,其隸書功夫可以想見。此幅立軸摘錄張參《五經文字》自序,為林瀚東先生寄存託管書畫之一。(20120409)@#@@#@內容簡介(英文)@#@ Gui Fu (style name Donghui; sobriquets Weigu, Dujing fumin, Suran shanwaishi), a native of Qufu in Shandong, was a Presented Scholar of 1790 and served as Prefects of Yongping and Shunning in Yunnan, passing away in office. Gui excelled in etymology, using definitions in the Classics with the Shuowen dictionary for his studies. He completed in 50 chapters Explanatory Shuowen Dictionary of Characters, generally praised among scholars. The lines, “An intoxicated goat-hair brush, writing over and over steles of the Han,” come from Gui Fu’s heart, his achievement in clerical script also readily apparent. This hanging scroll, from Zhang Shen’s self-preface to his Characters of the Five Classics, was entrusted to the Museum by Mr. Lin Han-tung.(20120409)
